The Sandgate Toastmasters are celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year, while worldwide the organisation is commemorating it’s centenary. Toastmasters started in the USA and initially it was just men, but women were finally allowed in 1973. Sandgate Toastmasters meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7pm at the RSL Sub-Branch Hall, 12 Burnett Place, Sandgate. Anyone aged over 18 are encouraged to join.
