99.7 Bridge FM has been around since 1992 and since the beginning we have been known for playing great music that people simply love to listen to!
Over the years we have relied 100% on volunteers to run the station, and since 1992 literally hundreds of people have helped the station to where it is today. Without the support of our volunteers we wouldn’t be in the strong position that we are now.
Community radio is alive and well across Australia, and Bridge FM has one of the largest radio footprints across all community licences, and we are very proud of that fact! Our licence area is basically from north of the Brisbane river up to Caboolture, and our signal can even reach a little further than that.
One of the best things about the history of our station is that we have always been there for our community, whether that be to provide emergency news updates, or to let people know the things that are happening within their community that they may be interested in.
The benefits of community radio also reach a long way as more often than not, community radio provides a pathway for people looking to get into certain areas of the radio genre. Whether it’s being part the technical side of things, or through to being an actual announcer, 99.7 Bridge FM is proud to have been a part of many people’s involvement with radio — with many going on to have successful commercial careers in the industry!
99.7 Bridge FM is growing stronger and stronger. Why not tell your friends to tune into the great rock variety that you can hear all day every day!
