‘Jessies Place’ is a non-for-profit gift shop staffed by volunteers, which helps elderly residents and now they need your help too. Located at 60 Wakefield Street, Sandgate, Regis Aged Care. The funds raised at the shop go towards brightening the lives of residents and they are looking for more helpers.

Co-Ordinator, Graham Fresser, advised that “Jessies Place is a lovely shop, the residents mostly pop in to get their toiletries, like soap and what have you, or something to brighten up their room” and volunteering there is one of the highlights of his week. Most of the stock is donated and other items are purchased by the volunteers.

‘Jessies Place’ is open to the public as well as for residents, next to the café, which is accessed from the Ward Street entrance in Sandgate.
