Creatives on Brisbane’s northside will present the inaugural 4017 Bayside Open Studios art trail, in October this year, in Bracken Ridge, Sandgate, Deagon, Brighton and Shorncliffe, featuring 14 artist studios with over 25+ participating artists.

The Open Studios will be held for two weekends, 23-24 Oct and 30-31 Oct 2021, with all studios welcoming visitors to their creative spaces from 10am to 4pm both days on each weekend. A number of studios/galleries will also be open during the week by appointment.

Facilitated by some of the most talented local artists, workshops and art technique demonstrations will be available for visitors to attend and participate in the creative process, whether on the weekend or in the week between.

Visitors can experience a diverse range of art media; paintings, works on paper, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, mosaics, printmaking, mixed media, photography and more, while becoming acquainted with the participating artists and their studios and galleries.

Organizer, Grace Cross, said “This art trail has been curated to embrace the uniqueness of the beautiful 4017 bayside area and is a self-guided tour where a printed/digital map will be available to visit local artists in their studios that are no more than 10 minutes’ drive from each other. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or art collector, you can enjoy this rare opportunity to not only see behind the scenes but to speak to and support local artists while acquiring original artwork”.

Local and State government, local businesses and the Sandgate Art Society, Inc. have all proudly supported the event which will provide an opportunity for the local arts community to showcase their talent.
